In case you haven’t seen it on our facebook page, the sale dates have been announced. The Fall 2014 sale will be the week of September 2-7. You can get more information at https://www.myconsignmentsale.com/humschool The main page has all the sale information. If you have not signed up, click join and fill in the form and choose mailing list, volunteer or consignor. If you choose consignor you will receive a temporary consignor number and password. I will update your consignor number and send you an email with the new consignor number within 24 hours.
If you have not received a response within 24 hours please email me directly at email@example.com. We’ve had a few glitches where I didn’t receive a notification that someone signed up and I don’t login daily unless I have notifications.
Dear HUM School Clothing Sale Consignors,
I am writing to you on behalf of the HUM School Advisory Board and want to thank you for participating in our consignment sale. Without the consignors, we could not raise much needed funds for this wonderful preschool which serves as a ministry to the children of our community. On the final day of our Fall consignment sale in 2013, we tried a new method of breakdown and a shortened breakdown time that did not work at all. We admit that we made a mistake. We want to sincerely apologize for any clothing that was soiled and for any inconvenience that occurred as a result of that breakdown method.
I want to assure you that we will NEVER place clothing to be picked up after the sale on the floor again, and we hope that you will be continuing as a consignor in the sale. To let you down in any manner greatly concerned our director, our Advisory Board, and everyone involved with the sale. We hope that you will accept our sincere apology.
Joan Rizor Pionke
HUM School Advisory Board Chairperson
Last week on our Facebook page we asked you what perks would be most likely to make you want to volunteer your time. The general response was to have consignor fees waived. You asked and we’ve answered. Starting this Spring, Volunteers who work 4 or more hours will have their $6 consignor fee waived. In addition to that new perk, if you work 4 hours on Saturday (half-price sale or breakdown) we are having a volunteer half-price sale from 8:00-9:00 a.m. Saturday before the public half-price starts at 9. We want to thank our volunteers in advance. You can sign up online by clicking the Volunteer Opportunities tab at the top of the page.

An email went out yesterday morning to both consignors and shoppers. If you did not receive it, please go to the link in the top right corner of this page and join the appropriate mailing list. If you want to become a consignor you can either email firstname.lastname@example.org or you can fill out the form (all fields) and I will send you a code when I receive the “notice of new subscribers”. If you want it quickly, email me, because I only receive the” notice of new subscribers” once a day so there’s a possibility of a 24 hour delay.
Just wanted to let you know that you can now sign up for all shifts. We have childcare available Tuesday evening, Thursday afternoon & evening and Saturday all day for our volunteers. We also have the option to bring drinks, snacks or meals if you cannot find a shift you can work but still want to pre-sale shop.

A few weeks ago we got an email from local mom, Kelly Bailey, about a new business venture she has started up. Well, that business venture is not only going to help this mom and her family but it is also going to help you!!! Nashville Consignment Supplies is the company and that’s where you can get all your consignment supplies in a one stop shopping trip. You, the consignor, will determine how many wire hangers, safety pins (and not the cheap dollar store ones that bend), sheets of card stock and gallon/quart sized ziploc bags and then you will place your order at www.nashvilleconsignmentsupplies.com How cool is that? I know that I, even as the sale coordinator, have needed last minute safety pins and got stuck (sometimes literally) with those horrible dollar store safety pins that will absolutely not stick through some articles of clothing no matter what you do.
Benefits to the consignor:
1. You will no longer have to beg dry cleaners and friends for hangers and hope to find a place that isn’t out of stock on safety pins.
2. You can consign more items if you have ample supplies, thereby making more $$$. :)
I hope you are as excited and supportive of Kelly and Nashville Consignment Supplies as we are! Please let her know that HUM School Consignment Sale sent you over. No, we don’t get anything out of it, other than a shout out on her Facebook page, we just want Kelly to know where the love is coming from. You can also like her facebook page http://www.facebook.com/nashvilleconsignmentsupplies
Do you love consigning with us but wish you could get paid just a little bit faster? Now you can! This sale (and if all goes well, future sales) we will be handing you your check when you come for “Pick Up”. Planning to have someone else pick up your left over items? Make sure they have your contract, we will only give checks out to those with their contract. All other checks will be mailed.
